The Western Metropolitan Regional Council (WMRC)
The Western Metropolitan Regional Council (WMRC) is a local government organisation formed in 1989 to provide specialist waste management services for its Member and Participating Councils and their residents. This includes collection, transfer, treatment and disposal of waste as well as the provision of community recycling services and waste education. The West Metro Recycling Centre is open to local government councils, member and participating council residents as well as commercial operators for various services. The WMRC collects household batteries at our recycling centre as well as different collection points within the community including council offices, libraries and shopping centres. The full list of WMRC household battery drop off locations can be found HERE as well as range of other services we offer HERE.
