Margaret is an experienced Board Chair, Independent Director and Non-Executive Director, with extensive national and international experience of working with state and federal government, commercial and not for profit boards. She has significant governance, public policy, stakeholder, risk management and health, safety and environmental experience.
Margaret is currently on the Board of the Victorian Environment Protection Authority and chairs the Audit and Risk Committee of Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency and the Battery Stewardship Council.
Margaret has a strong reputation as a leader in both government and industry. In her senior executive career, Margaret was the CEO of PACIA, representing Australia’s chemical industry, and worked with industry, governments, and community to ensure safe and sustainable management of chemicals throughout the supply chain. Margaret was the inaugural Director of Major Hazards with WorkSafe Victoria, and led the development of Australia’s first major hazard regulatory regime and established a new regulator following the Longford tragedy.
