About membership
Become a member of the Battery Stewardship Council
With the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission granting authorisation of the Battery Stewardship Scheme in September 2020, the BSC is making the transition from concept to operational design. As a result we are changing our membership structure and inviting industry and government agencies to become a formal part of the team.
Full membership brings with it the ability to nominate for the BSC Board and a voting right enabling members to vote for BSC Board nominees and special resolutions presented to General Meetings. This category applies to those who pay the levy, or non-levy payers who pay a $1000 annual membership fee. In the early stages, levy payers may choose to pay an initial $1,000 membership fee to enable voting rights prior to the start of their levy payments.
Associate members are organisations and companies that contribute to the work of the BSC, but do not have voting rights. Associate membership is free.
